A Cat's Perspective

meow

I hope she’s a little happier where she goes next.

I went on a walk today! The sun was bright! But only a little bright! The roads were warm, and the village was quiet. My friends are still around! But some of them I haven’t seen in a while. I hope they come back soon.

I made a new friend today too! Her backpack had a little bird on it, which I might have tried to bite…But I knew it was fake! Of course I did!

And I thought she was being mean when she took the little birdie from my mouth, but actually she looked a little sad. And she patted the birdie once I let go. I guess it was very important to her.

And actually…I growled at her a bit. Then she sat there, just on the floor, and watched me. Or…I think she watched me? Her eyes were a bit closed.

And then a big, scary car came and someone yelled at her. Those things can be so loud. I didn’t like it either.

Then she walked a little bit. But she stood there and didn’t walk for a little bit. She was lost! But I knew where she wanted to go. But I think she’s not very smart. Not as smart as me, at least! I had to look back and forth so many times until she started following me. But she did it in the end!

Do you wanna know where I took her?

I took her to the little swing. The one that looks over the rocky wall, to the ocean. I love sitting on that wall. It’s so high up! I’m on top of the world! There’s this one rock that is perfect for naps. Fit for a king. I’m the king of the world!

And she sat on the swing for a bit, but she didn’t swing. Maybe she doesn’t know how to swing? She still looked kind of sad.

And then, guess what!

In the middle of my nap, she came and sat next to me! On the wall! And she petted my head a bit. Her hand was nice and warm. She smelt good too. Like bread.

We sat for so long! I feel asleep on her. But then she pushed me off. How rude!

But then she picked me up. And she held me. And I could hear her heart beating very very fast. And she was very very warm. And then she put me back down. And she gave me the little birdie. But I didn’t want it. I know it’s important to her.

But then she threw it off the cliff!

And then she jumped after it! She flew off the wall! But I don’t think she was very good at flying. She flew for a little bit. Then she landed. But she floated on the water for a long time. But she floated away from the birdie. Maybe she’s angry she couldn’t fly well.

I hope she’s a little happier where she goes next.
